“One life to live/Notice you get no sequel/So I truly got to live this like my last movie!” - Jay Z
Why put up with uncomfort and unhappiness if you dont have to?
I know sometimes in life we have to deal with things and do things we’d rather not do, but for the most part we are in charge of our own reality. It’s one of the beauties of this life. So if you dont like what’s going on in your world, then change your reality!
They say life is short, but sometimes life is loooooooooooooooooooooong than a mu’fucka. Especially when you are putting up with some bullshit. Stress is really real and it can manifest it’s self into REAL, KILL YOUR ASS health issues if you dont do something about it.
So if your drawers creep up in your ass……get them shits out!
If you hate your job to the point that you loathe even walking up in that bitch….quit as soon as you can!
If your significant other aint pulling their weight and making you happy……get up outta there yo!
Live your life yall. Live it to the best of your ability.
“….and if there aint no beauty you’ve got to MAKE some beauty!” - Earth, Wind & Fire
Inspiration : Aint no inspiration other than the truth in what I just wrote. Heed that shit yo!

Okay, and the reason this is so funny is because…
I bought some jeans last year, and I reckon this year I’ve lost some weight, because they’re not tight-in-the-butt-area like they used to be. So provided, there’s some slack in the jeans. Today when I was walking around looking for a mailbox, the slack in the jeans crept up my butt and gave me some erruhhh… ‘discomfort’. I spent the morning snapping the heavy denim wedgie out my butt. You know how when you hike one hip up and dig? Yeah, well that was me. So although these are the hottest jeans I own, I shall very well take into consideration… either altering them, ditching them, or gaining another 15 lbs so there’s no creepage. Thanks for the encouragement.
Oh yeah, and on the “non-literal” aspect… If everyone got rid of ONE teeny tiny thing in their lives that irked them, their lives would change so so SO drastically. Take it from someone who knows! =)

A little over a year ago, a friend of mine quit her job where, for about 10 years, she and I had been colleagues. Surely thanks to severance pay and whatnot, for a year she was able to work for herself only–therapy, riding her bike, establishing her own companies to market herself and her talents. After 12 months–perfect timing–she landed a contract with a new place…and walked into a job so stifling of her creativity, so filled with “How much did you pay for those shoes…they must be paying you 5x what they’re paying us,” so chock-full of elbowing for position and dousing of spirit that she quit the contract halfway through after waking up one morning and dreading the idea of going into that place after one whole year of peace in her life. Now in her 40s, she asked me, “Why did it take me so long [in life] to realize that we don’t have to do ANYTHING we don’t wanna do?” I replied that we are conditioned to do that kind of thing, notably when we have the responsibilities of a mortgage, a child–any THING or PERSON which in some way “depends” on us; we are taught to “suck it up” and keep slogging through, no matter how much it kills our spirits. It takes thought and courage, but those kind of positive changes you’re encouraging pay untold dividends. This is a good lesson, TJ, and no matter that it seems to be stated simplistically: my advice is to try thongs. They are far more comfortable than you might think.

Yes we are and when we are not in charge of our reality it effects everything and everyone that is around us. Not positively either!

TJ. You bring up an interesting topic with the post. I have been emailing and meeting with some Pastor friends of mine about something similar… What is difference between “Satisfied” and “Settling”.
When should we be satisfied with the life we have vs settling for the life we have?
A lot of my friends hate their jobs, but when Citibank is about to cut 53000 jobs worldwide, should they quit theirs?
No one told us as kids that this grown-up thing would force us to sometimes choose between personal happiness and rent being paid… lol.
Which then leads to a question of Faith… if I step out on Faith and quit this job, I will be provided a better one… right? Soon, right? Like, before 1st of the month.. right?
